Helen Grace White


Helen Grace White of Havre de Grace, passed away at CitizensCareCenter on March 17, 2008. She was 92.

Mrs. White was born in Rock Run, MD to the Late Joseph Spencer and Grace (Jett) Elliott.

She was the loving mother to Alvin Grieninger of Havre de Grace, Maryland, Jess White of Greencove Spring, Florida, Carl White of Jacksonville, Florida, Grace Hagan of Cocoa, Florida and Evelyn L. Keen of Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her sons the late John J. Elliott, William S. Elliott and Joseph Elliott. She was also a grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother to several. She was a devoted sister to Mildred Grieninger of Havre de Grace, MD and her brother the late William Spencer “Buddy” Elliott.

She had worked in the commissary at the Aberdeen Proving Ground and Bainbridge for several years. She was also a homemaker and loved crocheting.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2008 at 4 PM at AngelHillCemetery, Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Officiating will be Pastor Barbara Stumpf of Deer Creek Harmony Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be at AngelHillCemetery.
