Obituary for Homer Nelson Barnard

Homer N. Barnard of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on June 17, 2014. He was 94. He was the loving husband of the late Mary S. Barnard.

Mr. Barnard was born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Charles N. and Eva S. (Brown) Barnard. He was the devoted father to the late Perry T. Barnard and Louis Charles Barnard. He was the brother of Emily Berg, Edna Mae Fay and the late Lola Thomson and Fred Barnard.

Homer was a retired technician for the APG Physical Test Lab. He was also a WWII veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed and studied Opera’s and attended Martinette School of Music. He was the lead in several Opera’s. He was a member of the VFW Post 8126 and the American Legion Post #47.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10 A.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.

Interment will be at the Angel Hill Cemetery.

Officiating will be Pastor Norman Obenshain.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 S. Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD
