Obituary for Howard Lee Carpenter Sr.

Howard Lee Carpenter, Sr., of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on October 27, 2016. He was 82.
Mr. Carpenter was born in Monmouth County, New Jersey, to Lee A. Carpenter and Ellen Estelle Carpenter. He was the devoted husband of 56 years to Carol Lee Carpenter, loving father of Howard Lee Carpenter, Jr., and his wife Cyndi, of Havre de Grace, MD, and Sharon Lee Carpenter and her finace Michael Johnston of Florida. He was the adored grandfather of Patrick J. Carpenter, Staci Carpenter, Stephanie Carpenter, and Justin Migliaccio. Mr. Carpenter was the brother of John Charles Carpenter and his wife Mary Ann, and Arnold Lloyd Carpenter and his wife Terry, of Howell, NJ.
Mr. Carpenter served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1959. He worked for Jersey Central Power and Light. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Ocean County Modeler’s Club, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He enjoyed building model airplanes and also enjoyed working the yard. Mr. Carpenter was also a member and Elder at Hope Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 1:00 PM, at Hope Presbyterian Church, 617 Hope Chapel Road, Lakewood, NJ, 08701.
