Irene Jane Kirtscher



Irene Jane Kirtscher, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 12, 2012.

She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Nicholas Shatynski and Maria Marcinyshyn.

She was the wife of the late Allen Walter Kirtscher, Jr. Mrs. Kirtscher was the loving mother of Allen Walter Kirtscher, III, and his wife Joanie Louise Kirtscher of Havre de Grace, MD, Jane Ann Perugino and her husband Francis Joseph “Fish” Perugino of Churchville, MD, Kathleen Lynn Miller and her husband Herbert Taylor Miller, III, of Havre de Grace, MD, Linda Maria Bostic of Port Deposit, MD and the late Stephen Mark Kirtscher. She is survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 6 sisters.

Mrs. Kirtscher devoted her life to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She volunteered and served on several boards there. She was a member of the Dominican Order. She made meals for Our Daily Bread and served at Grace Place. Mrs. Kirtscher also volunteered at Citizens Care Center.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 6-9 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
Father William J. O’Brien will officiate. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herbert Taylor Miller, III, Herbert Taylor Miller, IV, Nicholas Miller, Francis “Fish” Perugino, Joseph Bostic, and Allen W. Kirtscher, III.
