Obituary for James T. Micklewright

James T. Micklewright

James T. Micklewright of Havre de Grace, MD passed away surrounded by his family on January 20, 2012 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 86.
Mr. Micklewright was born in Davenport, Iowa to the late Elmer and Margaret (Wilson) Micklewright. He is survived by his wife Kathleen P. Micklewright.
Mr. Micklewright was the loving father to Catherine Ann Rossetti, Thomas J. Micklewright and his wife Bertha, John E. Micklewright and his wife Jean, and James V. Micklewright and his wife Maryann . He was the devoted grandfather to Amy, Philip, Lois and Kathleen Rossetti, children of Philip L. Rossetti, and John and Michael Micklewright. He was the great grandfather of Grant Brody Rossetti. He was the brother of Beverly J. Hannigan and her husband Jack and the late Ray W. Micklewright.
Mr. Micklewright graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Forestry. He went to work for the Department of Agriculture for the U.S. Forest Service. He was a veteran of WWII for the U.S. Navy. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a volunteer and played a major role in the development of the Annandale National Little League. A Fairfax County Park Baseball Field is named in his honor.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10 A.M. with rosary 9:30 A.M. at the Church of St. Patrick, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 12 P.M. at the Resurrection Church Cemetery, 15353 Moneta Road, Moneta, VA.
