Joseph Hubert Thompson

Joseph Hubert Thompson, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on September 6, 2011. He was 77. He was born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Morton Thompson and Gladys Wilmer Thompson. He was the loving father of Joel and Carol Waldren Thompson of Havre de Grace, MD, and the late Jane Thompson. He was the adored grandfather of Nicole Morgan Thompson, Kristy Anna Thompson and Erik Evan Thompson. He was predeceased by his wife Lauraine Malloy Thompson and his siblings Paul Thompson and Rosie James. Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, from PennStateUniversity then worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground's C & CL Department and Edgewood Arsenal's CSL Department until retirement. In 1993, Mr. Thompson received the Department of the Army Achievement Medal for Civilian Service.
He was a Penn State Fan and a Baltimore Ravens fan. He enjoyed art and was an avid reader. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 9, from 7-9 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Patrick, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
