M. Evelyn Hoffman


M. Evelyn Hoffman, of Conowingo, MD, passed away on March 4, 2012. She was 94.
She was born in Baltimore, MD, to the late John and Margaret Buedel Trautfelter.
She was the wife of the late Roland W. Hoffman. She was the loving mother of K. Eileen Riedal and her husband, Albert Riedal of Conowingo, MD and the late Phyllis Inez Zimmerman. She was the adored grandmother of John Riedal, Pete Riedal, Michael Riedal, Theresa Riedal-Ray, Paul Latham, Denise Gerard and Vanessa Gill. She was survived by 22 great-grandchildren and 8 great- great-grandchildren. She was the sister to the late Katherine Stunkard. She was the loving aunt of Evelyn Loncar.
Mrs. Hoffman was not only a homemaker, but was a beautician, seamstress, professional ice-skater, and professional bass fiddle player.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 12:15 PM, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, in the HistoricChurchBuilding, 533 East Jarrettsville Road, Forest Hill, MD21050. Father Stephen Sutton will officiate. Interment will be held at AngelHillCemetery. Contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 107 Chesapeake Blvd., Suite 134, Elkton, MD21921.
