Margaret Ann Weiss Racine



Margaret Ann Weiss Racine, of Havre de Grace, passed away on January 13, 2010. She was 75.

She was born in Island Creek, Maryland to the late Frank Weiss and the late Sadie Phipps Weiss.

She was the devoted wife of the late Fred Donald Racine. She was the loving mother of Fred David Racine and his wife Yolanda Racine, of Havre de Grace, James Allen Racine and his wife Janice Sue Racine, of Port Deposit, Charles Edward Racine and his wife Celia Racine, of North East, and Kevin Michael Racine of Havre de Grace. She was the adored grandmother of Brenda, Amanda, Taylor and Lance Racine, and also had 3 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Frank and Aurora Weiss of Jacksonville, FL and Betty and Charles Nichols of Panama City, FL.

Mrs. Racine spent most of her childhood in Union Church in Cecil County. She worked at several places in Harford and Cecil County, including Ordinance Products, Brooks’ Fireworks, Owens Illinois, Sewell Plastics, and Cello Corporation. She enjoyed shopping, especially for her grandchildren, and also loved sharing jokes.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 17, from 6-8 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery. Pastor Larry Johnson will officiate.
