Margarete Maria Aldrich

Margarete Maria Aldrich, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012. She was 85.

She was born in Hoechst am Main, Germany to the late Adalbert Heil and Anna Margarete Krieg.

She was the devoted wife of 65 years to Earl Everett Aldrich, loving mother of Elke Anthony of Maryland, Eunice Robison of Arkansas, Evelyn Hodge and her husband James D. Hodge, II of New York. She was the adored grandmother of Sandra and James Watkins of TN, Nathan and Linda Anthony of MD, Heather and Scott Simpson and Joseph and Nikki Clark of AR, Heidemarie Hodge of NY, James D. Hodge, III and Courtney Hodge of WY. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Betty Rekucki of MD, and the late Adalbert Heil, Jr., Anni Heil, and Elli Heil.

Mrs. Aldrich enjoyed crocheting, knitting, computer games and music. She also liked to camp and fish. She was a former girl-scout leader. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Clarksville, TN. The family would like to acknowledge the impact that was made for the family by Christ Lutheran Church, Brightview Assisted Living, and Citizens Care Center.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 25, from 6 to 8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Lisa Watson-Hill will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.

Bobby Collie, Jim Hodge, J.D. Hodge, Tom McCormack, Joe Clark, and Heidemarie Hodge will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Bath and Nathan Anthony.
