Obituary for Mary Joann "Joann" Acker

Mary “Joann” Acker, of Conowingo, MD, passed away on March 10, 2015. She was 60 years old. Mrs. Acker was the daughter of William Spicer and Florence Louise Dutton Spicer. She was the devoted wife of 25 years to Theodore Acker, loving mother of Bobbie Jo Farrington and her wife, Pam Haacke of Edgewood, MD, Brenda Jean Farrington and her wife Jennifer Williams of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Step-mother of Timothy Lee Pritt of Philadelphia, PA. She was the adored grandmother of Destany Joanna Farrington, Hunter Steele Williams, Noah Alexander Williams, Timothy Lee Pritt, Jr., Miley Pritt and Isabelle Pritt. She was the dear sister of William Barnes, Roger Hutton, Shirley Taylor, and the late Robert Franklin Barnes, Sr., and the late Bettie Dutton.
Mrs. Acker loved spending with her family and always making sure they were taken care of.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Mt. Zion Evangelical Cemetery in Springfield Township, PA. Pallbearers will be Bobby Barnes, Roger Barnes, Roy Hutton, Tim Pritt, Kevin Burkins, John Tootill, Hunter Williams and Noah Williams.
