Mary Janice Gibbs

Mary Janice Gibbs, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on January 2, 2011. She was 63.
She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to the late Joseph and Ada Ross McGonigal. She was the devoted wife of 29 years to Edward Gibbs. She was the loving mother of Joseph Harrison Bishop, Dwight Marshall Miller, Jr., Thomas Wayne Miller, Steven Bernard Miller, Edward Joseph Wentz, Josephine Delores Gibbs, Donna Louise Gonce, Dee Smith, and the late Dennis Landry Bishop, Jr. She had 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Joseph McGonigal, Michael McGonigal, John McGonigal, Florence Lambert, Kathleen Simpson, Marion Beers, Bonnie Kedera, Shirley Reem, and the late Thomas McGonigal, James Wilson, and Joanne Ayres.
Mrs. Gibbs enjoyed making candy, going to yard sales, and visiting the ocean. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 6, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, at Cokesbury Memorial United Methodist Church, 1304 Abingdon Road, Abingdon, MD 21009. Pastor Frankie Revell will officiate. Contributions may be made to the funeral home.
