Margaret Mary Joseph


Margaret Mary Joseph of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2008 at Stella Maris Hospice Center in Timonium, MD. She was 83 years old.

Mrs. Joseph was born in Havre de Grace , MD to the Late Daniel and Mary Ellen (Boyd) Gallagher. She was a loving wife of the Late Levering McCullough until he passed and then became devoted wife to the Late Glenn L. Joseph.

Margaret was a wonderful mother to her three children Tim Joseph and his wife Kathryn of Havre de Grace, MD, Roy Joseph and his wife Brenda of Havre de Grace, MD and Peggy Ford and her husband John of Easton, MD. She was an adoring grandmother to four: Benjamin Ford of Easton , MD , Glenn Ross Joseph, Olivia Joseph and Jack Allen Joseph all of Havre de Grace , MD. She is survived by her loving sisters: Alice Marie Bannister of Havre de Grace , MD , Cecilia Pascuzzi of Bethany Beach, DE, and Rose Mary Evans of Havre de Grace , MD.

Margaret was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post # 47 in Havre de Grace, a lifetime member of Chesapeake BayMaritimeMuseum and the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She loved to travel with her family and friends, especially her sisters. Many of her trips included Alaska and Hawaii . She volunteered for various organizations including; Meals on Wheels, the DecoyMuseum , Grace Place and as an election official. She had belonged to a Christian bowling league for more than 20 years, which had even taken her group to Las Vegas on a tournament. She was and amazing dancer. She had taught tap dancing to children and loved all aspects of dancing especially the jitterbug. When she was younger she was invited to dance at the Hippodrome in Baltimore , the show was aired on the radio. She had performed at various Amphitheaters as a dancer. She had performed and danced for the USO. Margaret enjoyed playing cards. She was often seen on Saturday mornings mapping out her route for the various yard sales she would be seeking throughout the day.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Havre de Grace, MD at 10 AM.

Interment will be held at Mt.ErinCemetery in Havre de Grace , MD
