Obituary for Mary Louise Kauffman

Mary Louise Kauffman

Mary Louise Kauffman, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011. She was 75.
Mrs. Kauffman was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Baldwin Deibert. She was devoted to her family, including her husband of 58 years, Jack S. Kauffman, Sr.; son Jack S. Kauffman, Jr. and his fiancee’, Suzanne Weinhold, of Abingdon; daughter Karen Dunman and her husband William of Rising Sun, Maryland; and David Williams and his wife Debbie, of Churchville, Maryland. She was the adored grandmother of Shawna Rachelle Kauffman, Kristina Michelle Dunman, William Jack Dunman, David Lawrence Williams, Jr., Richard “Ricky” Williams, and the late Brent Michael Kauffman.
A lifelong resident of Havre de Grace, Mrs. Kauffman is perhaps best remembered for the love and care she showed to her family, friends, and neighbors. She was well-known for her skills in cooking and crocheting, and she was happiest with a house full of family and friends. Each summer, she vacationed in Fenwick Island, Delaware. Mrs. Kauffman was a member of the American Legion Post 47 Ladies’ Auxiliary. For many years, she spent her spare time crocheting hats to send to the pediatric patients at Johns Hopkins Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
