Mary Jean Leonetti

Mary Jean Leonetti, 78 years of age, of Havre de Grace, Maryland died on December 8, 2011 at Harford Memorial Hospital of an extended illness. She was surrounded by family during the time of her death.
Mary was born in Camden, New Jersey to Harry and Ester Wood and was sister to the late Harry and Jerry Wood. In 1953, she was married to Nicholas F. Leonetti and later had two sons, Jerry and Darryl. Mary moved to Maryland in 1961 which remained her residence for the duration of her life. Mrs. Leonetti was a certified Drug and Alcohol counselor for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Sons of Italy: Baltimore Chapter.
She is survived by sons Jerry Leonetti and wife Clara Leonetti of Delta, PA and Darryl Leonetti and wife Sally Leonetti of Havre de Grace, MD, and her step-son Nicholas Frank Leonetti, Jr., of Warren, Ohio. She was the adored grandmother of Stephanie Birth and husband Scott Birth of Delta, PA, Melissa Cahoon of Nashville, NC, and Nicole Leonetti of Baltimore, MD, great-grandmother of Hayden Cahoon, Ethan Birth, Conner Birth, Emma Cahoon and Madison Birth. She was the aunt of Linda Ercolani and her husband Craig Ercolani, Gary Wood and his wife Sherry Wood, and Harry Wood, III. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at SpesutiaCemetery, Perryman, Maryland. Father William J. O’Brien will officiate.
