Obituary for Maxwell D. "Max" Landbeck

Maxwell Defiance Landbeck, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on July 13, 2014. He was 20 years old.
He was born in Payson, UT, to John Stewart Landbeck, III, and Jennilyn Landbeck. He was the loving brother of Emmalyn Landbeck Ritchie and her husband James Ritchie, John S. Landbeck, IV, and Suzanna R. Landbeck of Provo, UT, as well as Samuel E. Landbeck and Roxie Jane Landbeck of Aberdeen, MD.
He was the adored grandson of John S. Landbeck, Jr. and Sandy Landbeck of Aberdeen, MD and of Ken and Jane Babcock of Salt Lake City, UT, as well as the great-grandson of Billie D. Landbeck of Aberdeen, MD.
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Max was a profoundly talented singer, and was a long-time member of Maryland State Boychoir. He also was privileged to sing with the Deer Creek Chorale, and sang with them on their Olympic tour of China in 2008. He performed in several area plays with the Phoenix Theater at Harford Community College and Aberdeen High School, including the recently completed run of “The Music Man”. As a Boy Scout, Max served his hometown of Aberdeen by completing his Eagle service project there, cleaning and repainting 65 fire hydrants.
A memorial service will be held on July 25, 2014, his 21st birthday, from 7-9 PM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3836 Level Road, Havre de Grace, MD. All are invited to attend.
