Obituary for Norma Lee Woods (Hughes)

Norma Lee Woods, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 2, 2016. She was 77.

Mrs. Woods was born in Logan, West Virginia, to Clyde Vincent Hughes and Victoria Wright Hughes. She was the devoted wife of 59 years to William Spahr Woods, Sr., loving mother of Victoria Maria Rickard of Havre de Grace, MD, and William Spahr Woods, Jr., of Pennsylvania. She was the adored grandmother of Brian D. Rickard, Christopher W. Rickard, Phillip J. Rickard, Michael Woods and Nicholas Woods, and great-grandmother of 9. She was the dear sister of the late Irene Woods, Phyllis G. Woods, and Della M. Truitt, and half-sister of Johnnie Hughes, Jessie Mae Hughes and the late Clyde Vincent Hughes, Jr., Floyd Rae Hughes, Robert Hughes.

Mrs. Woods worked at Evergreen Farms for 31 years. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed making flower arrangements, and arts and crafts. She was also a fabulous cook.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 10 AM until 12 PM, at Bethel Apolstolic Church, 21 North Earlton Road, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. Pastor Buddy Flosser will officiate. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
