Obituary for Patricia Wilson McMillan
Patricia Wilson McMillan
Patricia Wilson McMillan of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 4, 2010. She was 73.
She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to the late Daniel E. Wilson and Elva L. Trimble Wilson.
She was the beloved wife of 48 years to James M. McMillan of Havre de Grace, MD. She was the dear aunt of Judy Haut of Baltimore, Maryland, Lorraine Haut of Aberdeen, Maryland, her children and grandchildren, and Dodie McMillan of Havre de Grace, MD. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bill E. McMillan. She was predeceased by her sister Anna McFadden Haut.
Mrs. McMillan was a 1955 graduate of Havre de GraceHigh School. Following high school, she was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios. She also worked for C&P Telephone Company, then the Book Cellar and A Touch of Glass Gifts. She was a member of Grace Reformed Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 20 years. She truly loved her church family. She was also a member of “The Local Lovely’s”, a group of ladies who have been friends since school. She enjoyed 4th of July Parades, watching the sailboat races, taking car rides around town and the countryside. She was into ballroom dancing and was often seen on the dance floor with her husband Jimmie. Their song was "So Rare", which will be playing on the video at Zellman's. She also adored animals and her husband still has the two cats they shared.
She was beautiful on the inside and the outside and will be greatly missed. We have comfort knowing she is in Heaven.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 9, from 6-8 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland. There will also be a viewing from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, December 10, at Grace Reformed Episcopal Church, 560 Fountain Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM at church. Reverend Mark Specht will officiate. Interment will be held at HarfordMemorialGardens.
