Obituary for Ronald James Hall

Ronald James Hall

Ronald James Hall, of Havre de Grace, passed away on July 31, 2009. He was 63. He was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Leonard C. Hall, and the late Anna Christina Roberts Hall. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, and attained the rank of Sergeant. He spent his working career as a boilermaker in the Boilermakers’ Union Local 193. After retirement from the Boilermakers, he worked at Bulle Rock Golf Course. Mr. Hall enjoyed 43 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart, Anna Hall. He was the loving father of Glen and Tammy Hall of Abingdon, Troy Hall of Havre de Grace, and Andrea “Jackie” Hall of Aberdeen, Maryland. He was the devoted grandfather of Alexandra and Addison Hall, both of Abingdon. He was the brother of Leonard C. Hall, Jr., of Aberdeen, Joseph Hall, and Scott Hall, of Havre de Grace, and was predeceased by his siblings, Ernest Hall, Jack Hall, Robert Hall, Nancy Hall, Marlene Harrold, and Leona Hall. Mr. Hall was a Life Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 47. He was also a member of the Havre de Grace Elks Lodge, the Young at Heart Club, and was an auxiliary member of VFW Post 8126. He volunteered for the Special Olympics and also at the Perry Point VAMC. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for the American Legion Christmas Parties. Mr. Hall loved golfing, fishing, hunting, crabbing, dancing, singing, and enjoyed decoys. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Pastor Frankie Revell will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gary Gordan, Bill Reeves, Earl Burns, Gary DiGiovanni, Robert Reynolds, and Mike Heaps. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Moody and Rocky DiGiovanni.
