Ruth P. Shane



Ruth P. Shane of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away surrounded by her family on April 24, 2010, at home. She was 88. She was born in Swan Creek, MD to the Late Lemuel and Laura (Neidlein) McFadden. She was the loving wife of the late James E. Shane and the mother of the late Valerie Dee Shane. Mrs. Shane is survived by her children Stuart Shane and his wife Robin, Priscilla S. Richardson and her late husband William Richardson, Jr. and Kim Morris and her husband Larry. She was the loving grandmother of six, great-grandmother of five and great-great grandmother of five. She was predeceased by her brothers John and James McFadden and a sister Virginia Pasqualini.
Mrs. Shane was a member of the Havre de Grace Presbyterian Church, where she had once taught Sunday school and served as Deacon. She loved to crochet. She enjoyed sports of all kinds, basketball, baseball, bowling, where she had played on a church team and was a high school team captain of just about every sport. She loved watching her game show network on television. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 12 PM also at the Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dick Neff. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD. Friends and Family may make contributions to the Havre de Grace Presbyterian Church, 551 Franklin Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078.
