Obituary for Silas Emanuel Baldwin
Silas Emanuel Baldwin of Port Deposit, MD, passed away on March 24, 2014. He was 82.
Mr. Baldwin was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Silas Manuel Baldwin and Elmira Baldwin. He was the loving husband of 55 years to Viola Mary Baldwin, devoted father of Theresa Ann Jablonski, of Conowingo, MD, and Rose Taylor of Perryville, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Tara Baldwin of Washington, D.C., Amanda Little of Edgewood, MD, Christopher Taylor of Baltimore, MD, and Jennifer Taylor of CO, and great-grandfather of Kayla Brown. He was survived by two of his siblings, George Baldwin of Darlington, MD, and Nancy Spencer of Delaware.
Mr. Baldwin worked at Maryland Dry-Dock and Bethlehem Steel. He trained and showed horses for many years. He was very active and loved fishing and working in his garden. He attended Antioch Baptist Church.
A viewing will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St, Havre de Grace, MD, on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 12:00- 2:00 PM, Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday. Pastor Donny Smith will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
