Susan Marie Carriere Gumbel

Susan Marie Carriere Gumbel of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on February 12th 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving friends and family. She was born in 1961 in Albany New York to her loving parents Dr. John Albert and Gail Kimbal Carriere.
She was the beloved mother of Sarah Gail Gumbel and Katherine Amalia Gumbel, both of Havre de Grace. She was the beloved sister of Kate Milutin and her husband Rudy Milutin of Matthews NC, John Carriere Jr. of Havre de Grace MD, and step-sister of Patty Desjadon of Shoreham VT.
Susan lived for a short time in Denver, CO and Lake Charles, LA but returned to Havre de Grace to raise a family of her own. She worked for several years in the banking community, from the county bank to her most recent at PNC Drive through in Havre de Grace. She especially enjoyed vacations at the Beach surrounded by her family and her friends. She was also an avid reader.
Susan bravely fought the battle against Breast Cancer for three years and over the course of that time, the cause became especially important to her. Friends and Family may make contributions in her honor to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on February 16th 2013 at 1:00pm at St. Patrick’s Church, 615 Congress Ave, Havre de Grace, MD, 21078.
