Obituary for Velva Andrews Blevins (Seal)
Velva Maxine Andrews Blevins, of Colora, MD, passed away on January 15, 2014. She was 86.
She was born in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia to the late Oscar W. Seal and Lucy Ann Yager Seal. She was the loving mother of Joan F. Medley and husband William E. Medley of Bel Air, MD, Richard B. Andrews and wife Bonnie Andrews of Shenandoah, VA, Ginger Neal and husband Ralph Neal of Port Deposit, MD, Mack W. Andrews and wife Ruth Ann Andrews of Conowingo, MD, and William R. Andrews and wife Robin L. Andrews of Conowingo, MD. She was the adored grandmother of Jeffrey, Erik, Andrew, Jennifer, Ricky, Jason, and Joshua. She also had 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands Roland F. Andrews and Kenneth R. Blevins, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Blevins was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and the Colora Civic Association. She loved completing word puzzles and word finds and enjoyed watching birds.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 3-6 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Moore will officiate. Interment will be held at Highview Memorial Gardens, Fallston, MD.
