Walter Clifford Hartzell, III


Walter Clifford Hartzell, III, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 20, 2013. He was 63.
He was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to the late Walter Clifford Hartzell, II, and Oma Breeden Hartzell.

Mr. Hartzell was the devoted husband of Linda “Dee” Jean Hartzell, loving father of Mark Wingler, Donna Anderson and Denise Wingler. He is survived by 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Emerson Hartzell.

Mr. Hartzell served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, receiving a Purple Heart. He retired from the Maryland Golf and Country Club after 42 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, dipping for white perch, and crabbing. He was an avid gardener, dog lover, and enjoyed mowing grass.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy, Whitt, Jr., Russell, Jimmy, Benny, Dylan and Gordon Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim, Joe, Jerry, Bobby, and Bubby Martin and Bill Whitt, Sr.
