Walter H. Hipkins

Walter H. Hipkins, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on October 16, 2012. He was 73.

He was born in Elkton, MD, to the late Walter H, Hipkins and Agnes O. Smith Hipkins.

He was the devoted husband of 53 years to Dee Hipkins, the loving father of Wally Hipkins and wife Cindy of North East, MD, Tim Hipkins and wife Morgan of Las Vegas, NV, Rick Hipkins and girlfriend Claudia of Havre de Grace, MD, and Kevin Hipkins and wife Lisa of Havre de Grace, MD.

He was the adored grandfather of Shaylyn Duggal of New Jersey, Matt Hipkins and wife Grace of Concord, New Hampshire, Brandi Hipkins of North East, MD, Rhiannon Hipkins of North East, MD, Colleen Hipkins of Havre de Grace, MD, and Shaydin Hipkins of Edgewood, MD. He was also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hipkins retired from the A&P Grocery Store after 30 years of service, and also from the City of Havre de Grace after 14 years of service.

He loved cars and traveling, and was an avid reader and history buff.

He was a member of the NRA and also a former member of Waterwitch Fire Co.

Services for Mr. Hipkins will be private.
