Winifred W. Wheeler

Winifred Ward Wheeler, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on May 10, 2011. She was 88.

She was born in Perry Point, MD, to the late John Ward and Dora Robinson Ward.

She was the wife of the late Conley Wheeler. She was the sister of the late Roy Ward, Beryl Ward and Beatrice Ward. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carl Wheeler of Perryville, MD, Patricia Wardell of Havre de Grace, MD, Dennis Bornmann and Kathy Deniken of Philadelphia, PA, and Karen Tennyson of California. She is also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Randy and Susan Wheeler and Christina and George Warholic. She was predeceased by a great-niece Monica Wardell.

Mrs. Wheeler spent her working years at Perry Point VAMC. She was an avid bowler. She loved flowers and gardening, crocheting and knitting, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 13, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Friends Cemetery. Pastor Ed Heydt will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dennis Bornmann, Randy Wheeler, Carl Wheeler, John Wardell, Ted Stallard and Mike Deniken.
