The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maxwell Landbeck can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Riding with Max

Max and I were acquainted through Alcoholics Anonymous, and though our age differences are about four decades, we hooked up and he rode with me to meetings in Aberdeen and Havre de Grace. I always had a Beatles music from their later albums playing in my car and it amazed me how much Max knew and appreciated their music.

Max had a significant love and talentt for  music -- a musical person from musical parents! Max and I often talked about music and I often asked Max  what types of music and groups were popular with the younger generation.

He was serious at our meetings, but enjoyed a good laugh and he contributed to the recovery community.

I miss Max (I moved from Aberdeen back to Ohio last November), but my memories remain.
