Betty Allison

I had the Honor of being a part of Dad's life since I met his wonderful son John in 1981. He was the Dearest and Sweetest man as was his Lovely Wife Rita. Dad always had a smile on his face. He was a hard working man and had the best work ethic I have ever seen. I remember a story I was told about Dad how you could never get him up on the dance floor. He was at the Legion in Bel Air in the early 70's with his wife, family and friends when one of his friends talked him into dancing to a fast song and the rest is history...after that you could not get him off of the dance floor...and he went dancing every weekend till around 2010. He loved to socialize and he never met a stranger. He always treated me like family. We were so lucky to have him in our lives for over 92 1/2 years. He went peacefully in his sleep and we thank God for that blessing. He was a sweet and gentle man and we will miss his smile and his laugh. The last thing he said to John was he was ready to go home. John and I thought he was talking about his home. John and I went to sign papers at Bel Air Memorial Gardens and we were asked if we wanted to see a picture of the casket Dad had picked out years ago, and when we saw the picture it had "GOING HOME" embroidered on the satin. I know that you are in Rita's loving embrace. God Bless you Dad. Love and Miss you. RIP 02-02-14
