The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Hines can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Donna Connolly Treat
Condolence: Dear Susan, Jill, Melissa, and Valerie,
I am so saddened to hear of your mom's passing. She was a fine neighbor and a wonderful parent of 3 of my favorite students (Sorry Valerie, but you were assigned a different teacher. I missed having you.) It is especially tough for a girl to lose her mom, so be there for each other. May the four of you continue your parents' legacy and raise great families.
May God bless you all,
Donna Connolly Treat

Condolence: I will miss you my dear friend. From meeting 14 years ago as host families and our many lunches at Bob Evans we shared updates on our families and of course medical issues!! We shared many laughs. So grateful I saw you last month. You loved your family dearly and was at peace that Josh was so happy. Rest in peace and you will not be forgotten.

Condolence: Dear Melissa and Jill and families, We are so very sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I enjoyed the conversations I had with Joan in resolving the estate of cousin Barry Burns. Your mother was most helpful and meticulous in the completion of such. She in part made it most pleasant to work with your complete family. We were most appreciative. I pray that the wonderful times you shared with Joan, will keep her alive in your hearts forever,In the very short time that I worked with her she proved a most wonderful lady. Most sincerely, Ron Browning and the Havre de Grace Historic Preservation Commission
