Obituary for James Paul Barker

James Paul  Barker
James Paul Barker, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on April 17, 2016. He was 64.

Mr. Barker was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to James C. Barker and Pearl Effie Barker. He was the loving brother of Harold E. Barker, and his wife Sharon, of Port Deposit, MD, David L. Barker, and his wife June, of Oldsmar, FL, Betty Earls of Havre de Grace, MD, and the late Helen Bernice Logan, Naomi Ruth Douglass, and Charlotte Ann Dowden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Floyd D. Earls.

Mr. Barker worked for Harford County as a traffic engineer and project planner. He was also an excellent artist. He created drawings for Disney and designed and drew BB8 and many of the ships used in the most recent Star Wars movie. He also enjoyed shooting firearms. Mr. Barker adored his nieces and nephews and their children and was like a grandfather to them.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 PM.
