The Hair

First time I met Edith- it was at the bar of Bass Pro shop in Ft Lauderdale- enjoying our gin And tonics. Suddenly she looked at me and said Where do you get your hair permed? I was taken aback said - I beg your pardon - she repeated The question. I said I don't its natural- she brewed over My answer during another G&T , looked at me again and Insisted that I perm my hair. ( for those if you who Don't know me, at the time I was 40 odd years old - Greek man- with short curly hair). Eventually I told her that the perm was natural because as a child I had stuck my two fingers in an electric plug and since Then my hair got curly. She then looked at me - said nothing For quarter of an hour and after touching my hair, she said "You are not going to tell me where you got your Perm, are you...." I will always remember Edith for her bright smile Her wicked sense of humor.
