Aunt Zelma's Laughter

When I think about Aunt Zelma I think about laughter, because everytime she spoke she would laugh. I remember going to visit and seeing my mother and Aunt Zelma laughing and sharing stories about something either they or their children did. Like when Barbara wore a t shirt under her sundress to school without Aunt Zelma knowing it since she had been told not to, or even when the boys would play hookie and get stuck hiding under the bed or in the closet because Uncle Norman came home. Then there was the time when a child Aunt Zelma was babysitting threw a tomato at her. I remember the time when, as a young girl, in one of my many trips to West Virginia, Aunt Zelma was making biscuits, she had to shake something up and she shook her butt while doing it. She told me not to tell Uncle Norman that she did it because then he'd want her to do the same for him. I didn't get the joke then but I do now. I can still see her butt going back to the front seat after she got finished scolding us for messing around in the car on the way to West Virginia. I have many more memories than what I have shared and in all them I can still hear her laughing. Rest in peace Aunt Zelma, I love you, thank you for the memories, until we meet again <3.
