The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Zelma Breen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Zel and Our Family

Zel was part of the fabric of our family's lives from our Westport days when we lived across the alley from each other.  I remember way back then when Zel loaned Mary Lou her red velvet dress for a special event.  She moved across the street from us on Yarnall Road.  Mom would open the curtains when she got up, and that was Zel's signal to come over for coffee and conversation.  She made the best yeast rolls. She held my baby shower when I was expecting Rachel, so memorable.  Warren and I always remember her with a smile on her face, no matter what was going on in our or her household.  She was Mom's good friend, more like another sister.  Rest in peace Zel. You made a difference in so many lives.  Rose Bathgate Sunderland
